Login Session Management and Alerts
The most common way automation dies is an expired login nobody notices. This system exists to prevent that.
Walkthrough · 21s
The video is an illustration of the process. All data shown is for demonstration.
01 · The problem
More than ten scheduled jobs each need to be logged in to a different platform. When a login expires the program raises no error. It quietly collects nothing, and days later someone notices the report stopped last week.
02 · Our approach
- All login sessions are managed in one place, and other systems only read from it.
- Every hour, each session is checked to see whether it is still valid.
- An expired session triggers a notification. If it stays unfixed, the alert escalates instead of sounding once and going quiet.
- Logging in again goes through a single entry point.
03 · Process
- 01Keep every platform's login in one place
- 02Check validity every hour
- 03Notify immediately when one expires
- 04Escalate the alert if not fixed
04 · Results
- 10 login sessions managed
- Checked automatically every hour
