ERP Stock and Arrivals Sync
Every night, ERP stock and freight-forwarder arrival data is moved into the ordering sheet.
Walkthrough · 18.4s
The video is an illustration of the process. All data shown is for demonstration.
01 · The problem
Ordering depends on real sellable stock, but the ERP has no external interface, so someone had to log in, export and paste every day. Where each shipment was meant checking the forwarder's site separately.
02 · Our approach
- A scheduled job logs in to the ERP each night, downloads stock and writes it to a spreadsheet.
- A second program collects shipment and expected-arrival data from the freight forwarder.
- The ordering sheet references both datasets directly to work out sellable stock and in-transit quantity.
- An expired login or failed collection raises an alert instead of stopping silently.
03 · Process
- 01Automatic ERP login every night
- 02Download stock, write to spreadsheet
- 03Collect freight arrival progress
- 04Ordering sheet shows sellable and in-transit stock
